| The last station of the Kyushu Shinkansen and the central station of Kagoshima City. You can enjoy a great view of Mt. Sakurajima, Kinko-bay and downtown from the Amuran Ferris Wheel, which is located on the roof of the Amu Plaza Kagoshima next to this station. One rotation of the Ferris wheel takes about 15 minutes so please feel free to enjoy! |

| 鹿児島の偉人の一人である大久保利通は高麗町に生まれ、7歳のときに西郷らのいる加治屋町へ家族と共に移住してきました。3歳年上の西郷隆盛とは同じ「郷中教育」を受けて育ちました。 |
| Toshimichi Okubo was born in Korai-cho moved to Kajiya-cho with his family when he was 7years old. He grew up through “the Goju education” that was a education system for the samurai, learned with Takamori Saigo who was 3years older than him. |
